President Gerald Grudzen ‘s article about the life and mission of Father William McIntire, MM, his Maryknoll classmate, has been published in the fall 2022 issue of Interchange, the Maryknoll Alumni newsletter. President Grudzen and Marita Grudzen are members of Maryknoll Affiliates.
Fr. McIntire worked closely with Saint Mother Teresa in India and Eastern Europe.
Father McIntire contributed to an interfaith conference in Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2008 cosponsored by Maryknoll, GMU, and a university in Bangladesh. This was the first major interfaith venture sponsored by GMU outside the US. Bangladeshi scholar, Dr. Shamsur Rahman, and President Grudzen coordinated the conference as a joint interfaith project.
