Becoming a minister or priest, as well as becoming a celebrant, is an important decision and you should know that you are getting a well-rounded education before ordination or taking on the role as a minister. We have excellent online preparation courses to help you study for priesthood or ministry or officiating at weddings and other rites of passage. You can easily study to become a minister or priest or become a celebrant online at your own pace and feel adequately prepared for your ordination/ministerial role.
INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
The requirements to become a minister vary according to how and what you intend to do. We offer personal counseling to help you discern the appropriate program for your ministerial goals.
ADAPTS PROGRAM TO YOUR DENOMINATION/FAITH COMMUNITY
Global Ministries University makes an effort to focus the practical application courses on your particular denomination/faith community. For example, we offer a course that trains you to design wedding ceremonies and religious services that are practiced in your faith community.
ORIENTATION PROVIDED
Global Ministries University provides an orientation process. Our Orientation Associate will guide you through the admissions process and answer any questions you may have about the self-directed study method used by Global Ministries University.
OPPORTUNITY TO APPLY FOR COMMISSIONING TO LEGALLY WITNESS MARRIAGES
The Federation of Christian Ministries, an interfaith, all inclusive, national organization with which GMU is affiliated, offers commissioning to legally witness marriages through its Commission for Ministry Process (certain requirements apply and application must be approved by the FCM Circle of Directors). The Federation of Christian Ministries not only offers commissioning to legally witness marriages, they support their members in a number of ways.
